Fantastic.

On Newgrounds, there are very few songs that can actually inspire a certain mood into me. I just stumbled upon a prime example. I know what mood that is, exactly, but for some reason, I'm having a lot of trouble deciding the words to use. Hope? Optimism? The intro really brought that out. Great job, I'll be listening to more from you. You were right when you said this had potential.

LK412 responds:

Thanks a lot! Glad it evoked some feelings from you.

Ha!

Catchy! This is my third song I've heard from you, and I must say you've made me a fan. I enjoyed every second of this. I'll be listening to this while I go running for sure. It's a good length, too, which makes it perfect for a work-out. Congrats on another sweet tune.

Also, was that voice cut from Lord of the Rings? It sounded familiar.

MiSTABeAT responds:

Thanks for the kind word! yes i confess i stole something from lotr :)

I like it.

I've been listening to your music, and I have a few questions. I also use FL Studio, and I'm really wondering where you get your instruments from. I can never get my instruments to sound realistic, especially the percussion, but you don't seem to have that problem. Did you download them? If so, I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me where.

In any case, nice song. Considering the length of the song and the lack of variety, this was actually surprisingly unrepetitive. I like the spaceship sort of sound that's introduced at 0:43. That was a cool sound and it matches the percussion perfectly. Overall a great casual listen.

Wow.

Admittedly, I really enjoyed this song. The only problem I had was the intro being too long. You should have stopped it at about 0:15. However, the melody is highly catchy, the beat keeps it exciting, and it carried very well.

Also, why is there so much empty space at the end?

Loud.

This almost sounds 8-bit, if it weren't for the percussion. I don't like it, but I can appreciate the skill it required to make.

Pivvot responds:

Thank you for the review, I can understand where you are coming from with the 8-bit statement. But thanks for actually appreciating the sheer amount of work it took me to get his sounding on-beat (you have no idea.) Once again, thank you for the review. I appreciate it.

Hm...

The intro was much too long, it should have stopped at about 0:05. I like how the melody was introduced though. Very mellow. Percussion needs to be fixed. It sounds very artificial, and the bad patterns take away from the softness of the melody. Also, the synth that only has two notes gets very annoying.

When I saw the title I imagined something more hectic. Oh well. The song was okay, and if you had to change only one thing, I would change the percussion.

Nice.

A good backup for a game or something. Catchy. And you heard right, the claps are fine.

I also like the fact that you can say good things about your own songs, most composers on this site write descriptions such as "This kinda sucks, but I hope you like it." or "Not rly good, but vote 5 anyway.". I respect that you aren't totally hard on yourself.

Cool song, I enjoyed it. It reminded me of "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" which I am now off to play. Thanks for reminding me! ^-^

Catchy

I can picture fighter jets having at it. Pretty cool.

As for the genre, I'd say industrial is the best fit.

Visual

I can definitely see this is in a war game, and possibly a video too. I think it takes a little too long to get going, but once it does, it totally kicks ass. Great job.

Here's What I Think

I think the synths and trumpets are really shrill, try dulling them a little. Like you said, you could definitely add to the beat. The intro was too long, you should have stopped it at about 30 seconds or so. I can hear a lower brass instrument, but just barely. It would sound so much cooler if that were louder. After 1:24 it improves a lot, I'd say, but again, it repeats itself too much. The ending was cool, I liked it. Overall, it definitely needs improvement, but it has potential. Try making more than one melody, so it's mixed up at least a little bit.
