Loud.

This almost sounds 8-bit, if it weren't for the percussion. I don't like it, but I can appreciate the skill it required to make.

Pivvot responds:

Thank you for the review, I can understand where you are coming from with the 8-bit statement. But thanks for actually appreciating the sheer amount of work it took me to get his sounding on-beat (you have no idea.) Once again, thank you for the review. I appreciate it.

Here's What I Think

I think the synths and trumpets are really shrill, try dulling them a little. Like you said, you could definitely add to the beat. The intro was too long, you should have stopped it at about 30 seconds or so. I can hear a lower brass instrument, but just barely. It would sound so much cooler if that were louder. After 1:24 it improves a lot, I'd say, but again, it repeats itself too much. The ending was cool, I liked it. Overall, it definitely needs improvement, but it has potential. Try making more than one melody, so it's mixed up at least a little bit.

Reminds me of something

I know what it is! It reminds me of I Don't Care by Apocalyptica. It's not exactly like it, but it's similar. And obviously not on the cello.

Anyway, good song. It's not often I get to hear someone actually playing the instruments.

ShootingStar responds:

For the record I didn't base this off anything but one chord progression I made up, but glad you liked it!!

Enjoyable

I liked the piano a lot. I also envy your ability to add effects to instruments, which I haven't figured out yet ^-^'

Much too short, if you ask me. Postal was right about the piano and the lead not fitting. The reverb on the lead makes the piano sound broken up and choppy. Perhaps raising the volume on the piano would help, as it seems a little weak as it is.

Good job, it just needs some tweaking.

Evilxy responds:

Thank you, I am still working on this piece

I will definately take your advice.

Too Cool

I was just looking for an awesome minor christmas tune to match a creepy animation of santa that my friend made. This is just the thing. Great job!

HappyHomicide responds:

There you go!

Energetic.

It really gets me pumped. I can imagine this being played during some road trip montage during a college-based movie. Very nice.

Okay, now that I think about it, at about 1:00, the driving montage thing kinda died. Then it starts sounding like an intense game of tennis.

Nice song, I really enjoyed it.

Vagmaster3000 responds:

haaahhahaaha thanks dude

Very Catchy.

It caught my attention right away, the only problem was that it didn't hold it very well. You need to vary your melodies a little more. Other than that, great song.

Evilxy responds:

Thank you very much, I will try and mix it up a bit more. I should be able to make it better now, since I just recently got FL Studio. I was working with AcidPro and just loops that my friend had made a while back.

Meh.

What program do you use?

MastaSensei responds:

i Use FLS 8 i really like your Loser (6) thats pretty cool

Hm...

It seems as though with the main melody, you were stuck between major and minor. Stick with one or the other and this will sound much better. The percussion was good.

MastaSensei responds:

Thank i might changeit knowing that

Uplifting

Very fast paced and energetic, while also seeming mellow and balanced. I really liked it. One question, though- why did you title it "Eel"?

Stan-SB responds:

dunno, when i finished it for some reason i started thinking about eels....
